Stefano Pilati couldn't have known his days as the house's designer were numbered   but the way he dipped into YSL's dark side prophetically hinted at an end game. Pilati extended that same mood into his women's collection, the last he'll show for Saint Laurent. The wasp-waisted, fetishistic discipline, the leather, the martial strictness of Guido Palau's slicked-back hair combined with the vampiric gloss of Pat McGrath's blood-red lip were components of a powerful, hard-edge dominatrix fashion fantasy. Backless dresses in a chain mail made of metal and rubber were the ultimate expression of Pilati's hypersexualized vision.I just loved his collection :)

The 'Marc Jacobs for Dior' rumors may be so "2011" but  hat doesn't mean that the new head designer guessing game has been laid to rest. Following the  twitter rumors  Raf Simons was in the running to become John Galliano's successor at the French fashion house... Today  after less than a year, 27-year-old French fashion designer Maxime Simoens is leaving his post as creative director for Paris-based fashion label, Leonard.   Sources tell  WWD  that " Dior has conducted talks " with the young talent. Although some would say that this is a pretty risky move since Simoens is rather unknown, we think it just might be what Dior needs to refresh their aesthetic. And yes, he's young, but Balmain hired a 25-year-old to run their label after Christophe Decarnin left and that worked out great!

Τελικά και ο  Stefano Pilati  αποχωρεί  από τον οίκο   Yves Saint Laurent! Σ τις 5 Μαρτίου στο Παρίσι θα δούμε την  τελευταία συλλογή  του για τον YSL ,καθώς ο Ιταλός σχεδιαστής δεν θα συνεχίσει να εργάζεται στον γαλλικό οίκο....χμ χμ χμ...πραγματικά τα τελευταία 3 χρόνια ο Φεβρουάριος αποδεικνύεται επικίνδυνος για τον κόσμο της μόδας(βλ---> Alexander McQueen,Carine Roitfeld,John Galliano....)
