GILES DEACON has left his position as creative director of Emanuel Ungaro!

"I am very proud of the work that I - and my team - did at Ungaro, and it was a pleasure to work in Ungaro's studio and with members of his actual atelier," Deacon told us today. "I am going to concentrate on the global development of the Giles brand with some exciting one-off projects in the pipeline for next year - and I'm really excited about presenting the Giles spring/summer 2012 collection on Monday evening."

Καταρχήν να ζητήσω μια τεράστια συγνώμη για την υπερ-τεράστια αποχή μου :)Το καλοκαίρι μου πήρε το μυαλό εντελώς και το μόνο που σκεφτόμουν ήταν η αιώρα μου που δεν κατάφερα φέτος να στήσω πουθενά... :( ελπίζω τον επόμενο χρόνο να κατευθυνθώ προς την υπέροχη Λευκάδα και αν είμαι τυχερή να "ναυαγήσω " εκεί...
Αλλά ας σταθώ λίγο στο πρόσφατο καλοκαιράκι που δεν ήταν τίποτα σπουδαίο αλλά σίγουρα ήταν ιδιαίτερο... :)Ένα καλοκαίρι γεμάτο μεγάλες αλλαγές,μεγάλες αποφάσεις,μεγάλες ανακαλύψεις..μπορώ με σιγουριά να πω πως στα 24 μου χρόνια με μεγάλο κόπο ενηλικιώθηκα:)Αυτές οι 3 λέξεις που χρησιμοποίησα δεν είναι τυχαίες,συμβολίζουν για εμένα τους τελευταίους μήνες...με λίγα λόγια....

Επιτέλους κατάλαβα πως για εμένα όλα έχουν να κάνουν με αυτό το τρομερό συναίσθημα και το χαρακτηρίζω ως τρομερό γιατί υπάρχουν πολλοί άνθρωποι που δεν το αντέχουν τρομάζουν και τρέχουν στην αντίθετη κατεύθυνση...
Όπως και να έχει συνεχίζω,η αγάπη πρέπει να μας πλημμυρίζει σε κάθε βήμα σε κάθε σκέψη...αγάπη για εμάς και για τον περίγυρό μας,αγάπη για την δουλειά μας και τα θέλω μας,αγάπη για τα όνειρά μας...αγάπη για αυτούς που δεν ξέρουμε,αγάπη για αυτούς που δεν την θέλουν,αγάπη για αυτούς που κρύβονται,αγάπη για αυτούς που φοβούνται....Αν δεν αγαπάς την ζωή σου,τους πόθους σου,το περιβάλλον που ζεις,τις επιλογές σου σωστές&μη δεν θα φτάσεις πουθενά...θα είσαι άδειος άνθρωπος...το μόνο αναπάντητο ερώτημά μου είναι το εξής...:Πόση αγάπη μπορεί να αντέξει ένας άνθρωπος,μια κατάσταση,ένα όνειρο...ώστε να μην πνιγεί,να μην τρομάξει,να μην ξεθωριάσει?

Givenchy haute couture fall 2011

Months and months in the planning, a long tulle dress was decorated with tiger's-eye pearls that had been inserted with crystals to catch the light and arrayed in the exact same pattern as the marks on an ostrich skin. Another gown was even more painstakingly embroidered with tiny silvery-gray caviar beads. In a callback to his women's ready-to-wear, Tisci paired it with a matching jumper boasting a sheer front panel and beading everywhere else so thick it was 3-D. A third dress, the most expensive and time-consuming to make of all the pieces, was entirely sewn of symmetrically placed hand-cut silk tulle paillettes. The result looked like some sort of exotic fish--in the most flattering possible way.Still, the exquisite technique was the big story here, pointing as it did to the continuing evolution of this designer's unique couture vision.

McQueen's Final Wishes came public today

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN's £16 million last will and testament was made public today - and his final wishes may help support young designers far in to the future. The designer, who committed suicide in February 2010, left the majority of his estate in a trust for his Sarabande charity, and asked it to consider using this money to fund bursaries or grants for students at Central Saint Martins.

The designer left £100,000 each to The Terrence Higgins Trust and the London Buddhist Centre, the Independent reports; £50,000 to his housekeepers, Marlene and Cesar Garcia, for their "long and faithful service"; £50,000 to his godson and each of his nieces and nephews; and £250,000 to each of his three sisters and two brothers.

He also bequeathed £100,000 to animal charities The Blue Cross and Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. The designer, known for his love of dogs in particular, left £50,000 in a trust for the upkeep of his own beloved pet dogs.
